Enforcement Subject Matter Expert Description

As an enforcement subject matter expert, Dental Hygiene Board of California's (DHBC) enforcement staff will provide you with dental records and certain other information, including but not limited to: interviews of patients, subsequent treating Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) or Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternate Practice (RDHAP), other witnesses and any statements from the RDH/RDHAP who is the subject of the investigation. Based on your review of the documentation provided, you will give your professional assessment of the care rendered by the subject hygienist to the patients involved. Your professional opinion should be based on your knowledge of the standard of practice, your education, training and experience. In some cases, you will be required to testify in administrative hearings held before an administrative law judge.
